The Provincial Mental Health & Justice Team is pleased to announce that Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) services are now available at the Westview Health Centre Emergency Department. This collaboration between the Westview Health Centre and the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation (Jessie's House) will offer 24/7 and no-cost services to patients of all genders who are experiencing any form of domestic violence. DART will act as a single point of access for multiple supports.
The Addiction and Mental Health Branch in Alberta Health is providing a grant funded through the Government of Alberta aimed at enhancing mental health and addiction supports for Albertans during the pandemic. The intent is to help support primary care providers to meet the needs of patients with mid to moderate mental health concerns by providing Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) through the Alberta Mindfulness Association.
