Step 1: Understand Your Practice = Look at Your Data
There are many different options for where you can retrieve your data to complete your QI project including:
This is often the step that physicians get stuck on. Please look at the examples of PPIP projects on the right-hand side to see if any would be interesting to you.
Step 2: Assess Your Practice = Pick What You Want to Improve
Decide on an area of QI that would benefit your patients.
Step 3: Create Your Learning Plan = Fill Out the Action Plan Sheet
Step 4: Implement your learning plan = Do your action
Step 5: Evaluate the Outcome = See if it made a difference
Look at your new data to see if the desired outcome was achieved.
Step 6: Submit in PPIP Section of CPSA Renewal Information Form
This just means that on your annual CPSA review you click “Yes” for the PPIP Objective Quality Improvement project. Don’t panic if you have previously clicked “Yes” and didn’t have it done yet. Just make sure that you do complete this by Dec 31, 2025.
